More environmentally sustainable practices result from several aspects of the BigBelly Solar intelligent waste and recycling collection system. Every unnecessary collection that is eliminated results in fewer gallons of fossil fuel that are burned, fewer pounds of CO2 and other vehicle exhaust emissions that are sent into the air we breathe, and valuable labor hours that are conserved and devoted to other priorities. Enclosed waste & recycling components keep litter in and pests out. Multi-component waste and recycling stations units promote separation of waste streams that keeps recyclable items out of landfills. With many of our customers, the cost savings generated from a more optimized waste collection process have been invested back into expanded recycling programs.
Environmental sustainability permeates everything we do. Our assembled-in-the-USA solutions incorporate a series of environmentally conscious features. Side panels and the collection hopper are made from recycled plastic. All circuitry is fully RoHS compliant. Packing has been optimized to protect units in shipment, but to also limit excessive packaging materials. Our waste and recycling stations can also be very efficiently packed during shipment, reducing shipment costs and fuel usage.
